Hi Friends, Today while I was working on a project in which I needed to finding the parent div id. Finding the parent div in easiest way using is with jQuery. You can easily find parent div element using jQuery. Look at below link for parent functionality of jQuery. You can find nth div element using this parent function. Look at below code for 2nd parent div. In the same way you can find the nth parent HTML element.

$(this).parent().parent().attr("id");

By above code you can find id of nth parent of current div or action.
